Well it's that time of year that all of deer hunters have to face....and that's the last few weeks of the season. We have experienced a fun and crazy rutting period of big whitetails chasing frantic does. Some have been lucky enough to harvest that trophy of a lifetime and others have taken their very first deer, that within itself is a trophy.
Some of you have not been as lucky and are still making your way to the tree stands. I find my tactics change this time of year as we see deer herding back up and moving into their aggressive feeding cycle. Am taking advantage of cut corn fields or what's left of my food plots that deer seem to be gleaning the rest of the crop?
Morning set-up I concentrate on those places where deer travel off the field into thick bedding cover to get out of the elements. I also find this is a great time to pull out the Vita-Rack 26 Gorge here in Kentucky where we can use supplements.
I think the secret to late-season success is to put in the same effort and time as you do during the first two weeks of November. Don't forget to use your Scent-A-Way and other products from the Hunter Specialties. I will be out there.......will you?
