Shipping Lead

The Shipping Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Oversees outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

• Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks. Ensures compliance with shipping and receiving specifications, including legal load limits.

• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.

• Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel, inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and truck doors.

• Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.

• Creates and implements suggestions for improving efficiency; establishes operational procedures for activities such as handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current.

• Oversees 10 to 15 employees in the shipping and receiving department, resolves grievances effectively and performs other lead and training responsibilities.

• Follows all safety rules and sound judgment in determining how to perform each task safely. Able to safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

• Other duties may be assigned.

One to two years of previous shipping and receiving experience is required for this position. Previous lead or supervisory experience is preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Consumer Service Specialist

Hunter's Specialties, Inc, a leading manufacturer and supplier of branded hunting products for mass merchant and sporting goods retailers, is seeking a Consumer Service Specialist in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Consumer Service Specialist is responsible for assisting end users and dealers with basic product questions, product operation questions, and hunting techniques.

• Answers incoming phone calls, letters and emails concerning our products and hunting techniques. Makes contact with territory manager, representatives, pro staff, dealers and consumers via phone, email, and in writing.

• Diagnose, track and report customer concerns. Make suggestions on product improvements to address the needs of our customers.

• Responds and handles requests for return authorization. Verifies the validity of the return, issues the RA number to customer, provides return instructions, completes and distributes paperwork, and processes credits when products are returned. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

• Maintains knowledge of computer systems, sales programs, hunting techniques and Hunter’s Specialties products.

• Follows all safety rules, uses appropriate safety equipment, and sound judgment in determining how to perform each task safely.

• Some travel may be required.

• Other duties may be assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to two years experience dealing with customers. Computer and data entry knowledge, along with customer service experience are a necessity. Candidate must be an avid hunter, with experience in hunting turkey, whitetail, waterfowl, and predators. Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Shipping and receiving team members will process incoming/outgoing UPS shipments and pick orders. Candidates must be able to read/write English and have basic computer skills. These positions are full time, seasonal/temporary and expected to run through November 2014. 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm or 10am – 6:30pm. Overtime will be required as needed.
