Heralding from the game rich Pan Handle Region of Idaho State, Dieter Kaboth currently lives in Pierce, Idaho. He began his hunting career at the age of 12. Despite a move from his native Wisconsin over two decades ago to the lush beauty of the Pacific Northwest, his love for the outdoors, educating hunters and big game hunting in particular, hasn’t slowed down a bit.

Dieter Kaboth has been deeply involved in the elk hunting, calling, and call development industry since 1985, and is serving on Pro Staff Teams for companies in the outdoor industry. His main focus is helping to promote his favorite hunting products with Realtree and Hunter's Specialties as well as Mathews Archery, Leupold and many others.

During the past two decades, Dieter has recorded four Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) World Elk Calling Championships (Professional Division) – more than any other caller in the history of the competition. Winning these prestigious events has afforded Dieter the opportunity to do what he likes best, to get the word out about the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The mission of the RMEF is to help insure the future of elk and other wildlife and their habitat.

Since winning his first title, Dieter has logged more than 300 radio and television interviews from all over the world, including England, New Zealand, Australia, Guam, and Canada. Dieter has to his credit several television appearances for the RMEF, and is proud to be serving as a media representative for the organization. Dieter has been televised on ESPN, TNN, The Outdoor Channel and the Outdoor Life Network.

A former Regional Director and life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and past president of the Chinook Archers (Camas, WA), Dieter is currently serving as a staff member for several sporting good manufacturers. He also is the former owner of an archery pro shop and enjoys writing for several hunting publications.

Although his primary interest and passion lies in hunting elk, he gets just as much or more enjoyment in bugling in big bulls for others, particularly those new to the challenge of elk hunting. During the course of his hunting career, Dieter has successfully harvested a wide variety of big game animals, including whitetails, blacktails, mule deer, black bear, and moose, as well as smaller yet equally as challenging trophies such as the Merriam’s and Rio Grande subspecies of wild turkey, and waterfowl.

“You don’t have to be an elk calling champion to call elk in close, but you do have to be a good hunter to be able to be successful consistently. I’ve been given this great opportunity to bring not only my outdoor experience to the public but to also work with experts in this field to present a complete educational and informational package to the avid hunter,” said Dieter.
